The troop expresses its hearty congratulations to Scoutmaster Jim Latimer and to Assistant Scoutmaster Bob Ruscansky on their selection for the Silver Beaver Award by the Southern New Jersey Council. The Silver Beaver Award is the council-level distinguished service award
of the Boy Scouts of America. Recipients of this award are registered
adult leaders who have made an impact on the lives of youth through
service given to the council. Established in 1931, the Silver Beaver is an award given to
those who implement the Scouting program and perform community service
through hard work, self sacrifice, dedication, and many years of
service. The award will be presented to them and the other 6 awardees at the Southern New Jersey Council 100th Anniversary Celebration on April 15. Again, congratulations on this honor to our leaders and the troop! It says a lot about our troop that we have TWO Silver Beaver Award recipients in the same year!!!
